Hope this will be useful to you ppl. Do let us know in case you have more/specific questions. Watch out this space for the updations.

 * What is CET?

The address of the comedk office is as follows:

* What is OMR answer sheet?
OMR answer sheet is a computer readable sheet on which students are supposed to mark answers in the right space provided. Since there is no human intervention while correcting these sheets, care must be taken to mark the answers without any ambiguity. Please refer to the comedk brochure for a sample mark sheet.

* Where is the CET/COMEDK exam held?
These exams are generally held in big schools/colleges. CET exam location for a candidate will be communicated with the admission ticket.
COMEDK exam location can be obtained on an applicant's login to the comedk website. Test centre name will also be there in the Test Admission Ticket(TAT) dispatched to the candidate through speed post.

* Iam looking for a seat in a college under CET. Is it required for me to  take up COMEDK also?

If you are sure of getting into the college you are eyeing, you need not write COMEDK.
Most students take up both exams just to be on the safer side.

* Where can I get brochures for CET and COMEDK?
COMEDK brochure can be downloaded from the comedk site www.comedk.org
To get the CET brochures, students have to submit a DD drawn in favour of
" The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore " to the college
principal. The brochure will reach the college. More information specific to 2008-09
can be obtained from
http://www.cetinformation.com/cet08.html

* Iam doing my 1st puc, when should I start studying for CET/COMEDK?
Its better to start early. I would suggest you to start preparing for CET/COMEDK while
you are in 1st PUC itself. Work towards getting your speed and accuracy right. Most students start when 2nd PUC starts.

* What if I make a mistake while writing my registration number on the OMR answer sheet?
Care must be taken not to make mistake while marking anything on the OMR answer
sheet. In case a mistake happens, its better to bring it to the notice of the invigilator.
They may help you with further instructions and try to correct the mistake if possible. Do not panic on making a mistake because being cool during the exam is extremely
important. There are chances that your correct registration number is tracked through
your name and other information.

CET counselling happens in the CET cell which is at the following address:
Karnataka Examinations Authority,
Sampige Road,
18th Cross, Malleshwaram, Bangalore-560012
For COMEDk, it is yet to be disclosed.

* Me and my friend are attempting CET/COMEDK this time. If both of us want to get into  same college, what should we do? I cannot afford a payment/management quota seat.
Generally its very difficult to plan this. It all depends on the ranking you both
get. Its possible that the person getting a higher rank chooses a comparitively lesser
grade college so that the person getting lower rank can easily get into that college college.

* Are there any chances of questions in the previous year papers appearing in this year too?
Yes. Thats why make it a point to solve as many previous year question papers you can.

anybody contacting their office in person.

For engineering, there is no lower cut off. However, there is a lower cut off marks
for medical and dental courses.
