Discussions and Questions: Here (Bluminut Forum)

Information:

Brainbench provide their own certifications. They are usually recommended in a lot of service sector IT industry (Companies like TCS, Infosys etc). They use to as a benchmark and as a scale to measure the performance of their employees.

Brainbench is a Hybrid Vendor Neutral certification unlike Microsoft, Sun, Cisco or HP certification, which are Vendor Specific Certifications. Vendor specific certifications are on those technology which are helpful for the respective companies and they use those to benchmark their employees.

A+ Certifications from CompTIA are Pure Vendor Neutral Certification. This is an old certification and it has in-depth coverage of many peculiar subjects.

Suggestion:

If you are planning to use the certification to get a job or to increase your on-the-job performance reviews use Brainbench. If you are planning to master a particular subject of your interest (Say RFID), then go for CompTIA and even Brainbench, if it's available.
