Bluminut for a greater cause. [ Bliblio - Bluminut Library]

For quite sometime we have been thinking of using Bluminut platform for a greater cause. This is an initative towards that.

A few completely random statistics towards Indian Education System would be something like,

• About 60% of what we study will not help us on our job.
• About 85% of us wont go back to our books to refer something or anything for that matter.
  
• About 80% of us change our stream from what we learnt to something else based on our need or opportunities.
• Only 1 student out of every 14000 is getting higher education in India [Courtesy:Neoncarrot]
• About 99% of the Indians (let me add 0.99% more to it) do not know what FOSS is, in softwares.

So what can we do? Although we cannot individually solve the whole of the world's problems, we can take responsibility for this social cause and contribute our bit.

Bluminut has launched a new module called Library. You can put up all the LEGAL Books, Softwares, CDs, anything you have up here and people who would want to Borrow it / Pay for it can pick them up. If it is not too much for you to ask, we would like to request you to give it for FREE and we will try to direct it to the needy.
